Today counts as a rest day although we have two short ride segments to and from the motels and the ferry, SS Badger. I was able to ride to the dock with no pain.

We were scheduled for the 2:00 PM crossing.  Friends of ours had arrived in Ludington the previous night and had taken the boat over in the morning. It was great to see Wayne and Linda Wood from Dexter MI and Joe Havel of Key West. We spent most of the four hour trip playing low stakes poker.

We got to Michigan at 7:00 PM after losing an hour due to crossing into the Eastern Time Zone midway across Lake Michigan. With some effort we found a restaurant that didn't stop serving at 7:00 PM  in the sleepy town of Ludington.  Evin and I said goodbye and got ready for a 112 mile ride to Mt. Pleasant tomorrow.
